Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on April 26th on the 26th of March, 1991. She's an American musician and singer. She was the first artist signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. Her debut EP Pho, released on October 21 2016, was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first released music online in 2012. Her debut album Ariography and debut mixtape in 2013 Five Finger Discount. Ari Lennox continued to upload her music online in 2014 and released her own single Bound. In July of 2015, she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat it Out. J. Cole had her send her songs in the direction of his Dreamville Team later in the year, as he wanted Rihanna to work alongside her on some of the songs. Her announcement to be signed by Dreamville Records was made on December 8th. Backseat was her contribution for the Revenge of the Dreamers II album. On October 21, 2016 the debut EP of Ari Lennox was released, titled Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and performed as an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. The year 2018 saw Ari Lennox performed on two tracks by EarthGang and EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on July 16, 2018, which was released on July 16th, 2018. The music video then released in September. Her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. Two singles more were released by her on 11/13 Pedigree and No One. The singer appeared alongside Cole on The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby, on November 16and later released the song as a solo single for her debut album. The track was accompanied by a music video that was released on February 20, 2019 and surpassed 3 million views via YouTube within the first week. In December 2018, she was part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
