Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently competing within the UFC flyweight division. She is also the older sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career began as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008 and a gold medal in the year 2011, and as the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career when she was in the year 2003. She has won several titles including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final fight took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002 when she fought Anara Bazanova during the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. The next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She came back in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa through a unanimous decision, as well as defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. After leaving the league in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's formidable strike abilities let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Antonina Shevchenko was given a UFC Contract after this victory. Antonina received the UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat, and won Lucie Prudilova's battle at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for the fight. Shevchenko had a win in her first three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
